After all, this is not a soft play centre, so you may be unfamiliar with how our play venue works.
Why we have rules
We really don’t want to be stick-in-the-muds!
Our only motivation is to keep everybody safe and happy. Including our visitors, our team, and everybody who helps to make The Play Village happen.
We’re safety mad!
We want you and your children to have a lovely, stress-free time with us. That’s why we do our very best to minimise any potential safety hazards.
Our eight play pods and café have been carefully designed with safety in mind. Our team has been trained to help prevent accidents from happening. But, competently respond to incidents – on the very rare occasions they might happen.
Rules about behaviour
1. While you’re with us, you’re wholly responsible for the children in your care. Although our team is always on hand if you need anything.
2. You’re required to stay onsite for the duration of your child’s session.
3. As an inclusive venue, we expect kindness, tolerance, and respect for people and property.
4. We’ll politely ask you to leave if we feel you’re negatively impacting on somebody else’s experience. Or, if you’re upsetting our team.
5. Please tell us if another visitor is stopping you from having a lovely time with us, and we’ll do our best to deal with the situation.
1. You need to book your session in advance. Unlike soft play, we don’t accept drop-ins. This is so we can make sure we don’t exceed capacity limits.
2. Once a session has started, The Play Village will be closed to the general public. So, please make sure you arrive in good time.
5. If you need to cancel or change your booking, please let us know 24 hours beforehand to receive a refund.
1. While you’re at The Play Village, the safety of the children in your care, is down to you.
2. You’re also responsible for any personal belongings you bring with you.
3. Sharp objects, that could potentially harm another visitor, should be left at home.
4. Please don’t take photographs or videos of any other children. Unless you have their parent’s or carer’s permission.
5. While in the play pods, we ask children and adults to take off their shoes to keep it nice and clean. Socks must be worn though.
6. Help us to keep The Play Village safe by promptly reporting any safety issues to us.
1. Unless you have allergies, please don’t bring your own food and drink with you. We have a lovely café that serves a variety of snacks, meals, and drinks for you and your children to enjoy.
2. We don’t however sell baby food. So, please bring your own with you.
1. We do our very best to help prevent the spread of coronavirus by implementing current government guidelines.
2. Our venue is cleaned regularly and we have very high hygiene standards.
3. Make sure you and your children wash your hands to better protect yourself and others.
4. Please don’t visit The Play Village if you’re experiencing Covid-19 symptoms.
